TITLE: Remote Mid-Level .Net Developer
Position Goal: Act as "player-coach" to a sprint team of internal and external software developers that are building industry-leading technology in the carpet and rug industry.
Who We Are:
At STARK, we have an ambitious vision for the role of technology and custom software development in our industry. Carpet is what we do, but it is not who we are. We began our digital transformation journey 2 years ago and are working to evolve from a carpet company that uses technology into a technology company that builds lifelong relationships through selling carpet. Our commitment to technology as a competitive advantage has shifted our technology team from relying heavily on consultants to internal, now with a diverse team of different experiences and one of the highest team tNPS (employee engagement) scores in our organization. In the last year, we have made a significant investment to bring in-house technology talent and move away from our dependence on contractors and consultants. We are continuing to expedite our digital transformation by bringing skilled, passionate, and GRITTY developers into our dynamic organization, who are willing to challenge the status quo and work on a team to win the championship - not just make the playoffs.
What You Will Build:
Our interior design clients are some of the most affluent and demanding in the world, with projects ranging from the VIP suites at the Wynn Casino in Las Vegas, to the private residence of Mark Zuckerberg. To live our mission of providing World Class Client and Employee Experiences, our technology must enable a simple workflow across thousands of SKUs and unlimited production capabilities. The Software function’s mission is to build the best and first-in-class carpet sales technology consisting of 2 connected applications - a point-of-sale system that enables barcode scanning, real-time quoting, sample ordering, and payment collections from desktop and mobile, and a product search engine that aggregates thousands of industry products from 15+ distributors with intelligent product recommendations and associated data feeds pulling in critical data like inventory availability. Once complete, these applications will provide significant time savings across our 150 sales users, which will enable our client-facing team members to spend more time building relationships and less time doing administration. This work is some of the most critical and high visibility in our company and its successful completion will make a significant impact on our bottom line. We have long-term plans of disrupting the technology within the carpet retail industry which represents a total addressable market of over 5000 stores and 2000+ salespeople.
